David W. McKoy

David began his career in insurance in September 1992 with ING Life of Georgia. During his 13 years with the company, David held many positions such as agent, sales manager, service manager, and field trainer. David joined CW Smith Insurance Agency in April 2005. David specializes in financial services for the agency as well as commercial lines of insurance.

David is very active in the community and currently is a member of the Greensboro Business Association, Chairman of the Board of The Circle of Love Center, and is an active member of the Greene County Chamber of Commerce. John Marchman

John was born and raised in Greensboro, Georgia. He graduated from Greene-Taliaferro Comprehensive High School in 1985. He joined C.W. Smith Insurance Agency in 1985. He received his Property and Casualty Agents license in 1987. John specializes in underwriting auto, motorcycle, and RV insurance. He enjoys spending time with family and following the Braves, Falcons, and the UGA Dawgs.

Julie M. Davenport

Julie grew up in Union Point, GA, and has lived her entire life in Greene County, GA. She graduated from Greene County High School in 1988 and attended Athens Tech, and majored in Accounting. Julie began her insurance career in 1992 as a customer service representative/agent for Cotton States Insurance. She began working with CW Smith Insurance Agency in 2000 and continues her career as a Personal Lines Agent. Julie specializes in home, umbrella, watercraft, and auto insurance. She enjoys going to the beach, cooking, and spending time with her family. Julie and her husband have two daughters, Natalie and Victoria.

Celeste Thurmond

Celeste is the newest member of CW Smith Insurance Agency. She grew up in Longwood, Florida, and moved to Georgia in 2002. She brings a wealth of experience in customer service to the team after working for thirteen years in combined employment on the staff of the Greene County Clerk of Superior Court, Greene County Board Tax Assessors, and Greene County Probate/Maistrate Court.

She loves her community and is an active member of New Hope Baptist Church, Treasurer of the Greene County Livestock Association and member of the Greene County Historical Society. She enjoys kayaking, running, and spending time with her family and friends. She and her husband, Jim Thurmond, reside in Veazey and have one daughter and son-in-law, Tanna and Dalton Shelnutt.
